ServicesRoof Replacement
Roof Replacement in Stroud, OK
When a roof is past patching, we tear it off down to the deck, fix what's underneath and put on a new roof built to shed water and vent heat. You get a dry home, a cooler attic and a crew with over 20 years of combined roofing experience.

When it's time for a whole new roof
Age alone isn't a reason to replace a roof. If the trouble is limited to one area, a roof repair usually costs less and does the job, and we'll say so. A full replacement pays off when the shingles are worn thin everywhere, leaks keep popping up in new spots, or the wood under the shingles has turned soft.
Replacing the roof is also your best shot at fixing attic airflow. Plenty of older roofs have skimpy soffit intake, or a couple of box vents doing work a ridge vent should handle. Heat gets trapped up there, and during an Oklahoma summer your AC runs longer to make up for it. We set the intake and exhaust so the hot air can get out.
Each roof we install is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty on the labor.

What comes with a full replacement
- 01
Old roof off to the wood
Every shingle and the old underlayment come off until we're looking at bare decking. Putting new shingles over old ones hides damage and traps heat, so we don't do it.
- 02
Decking checked and fixed
Once the wood is exposed, we walk every slope and swap out rotted or delaminated sheets. We show you photos and how many sheets were replaced before any of it hits your bill.
- 03
Underlayment and ice barrier
The whole deck gets synthetic underlayment. Valleys, eaves and the areas around pipes and vents get ice and water shield, since that's where water and ice gather.
- 04
Venting that works
We match soffit intake to ridge or roof vents so hot air can leave the attic. Less heat in the attic means less heat soaking into the rooms below and shorter AC cycles.
- 05
Help picking shingles and color
We'll lay out the shingle choices, including impact-rated options and lighter colors that hold less heat. You'll hear honestly what each one does and doesn't change.
- 06
Flashing, then a clean yard
New drip edge, pipe boots and step flashing along walls and chimneys. When we wrap up, we sweep the lawn and driveway with magnets for stray nails and haul away all the debris.
Questions about Roof Replacement?
Call(405) 855-9152Signs your roof is ready to replace
Granules collecting in gutters
Some grit after a storm is normal. Bald patches on the shingles and heaps of granules at the downspouts tell you the shingles are close to worn out.
Curled or cracked shingles
When shingles cup, curl or split on more than one slope, they've gone brittle. Wind lifts them and water gets underneath.
Leaks showing up all over
A single drip can usually be patched. Water stains in several rooms, or a leak that returns after a fix, mean the roof is wearing out as a whole.
Sagging or soft spots
A roofline that dips or a deck that gives underfoot points to wet or rotting wood. Don't let that one wait.
Upstairs rooms that stay hot
If the rooms under the roof hold heat well into the evening, the attic likely isn't venting or a dark roof is soaking up sun. A new roof is the time to fix both.
Hail hits that keep stacking up
Several springs of hail leave bruised shingles that lose granules and age early. If you keep paying for storm damage repair, replacing the roof may cost less in the long run.
What happens on a replacement
- 1
Look it over and price it
We climb the roof, check the attic when we can get to it, and take pictures. Your written estimate breaks out materials, venting work and the per-sheet price for any decking.
- 2
Permit and a start date
If the job needs a permit, we pull it, then agree on a date with you. Materials arrive the day before or early that morning.
- 3
Tear-off and covering up
We drape tarps over flower beds and along the siding. The old roof comes off one section at a time, and each section gets underlayment before we quit for the day, so your home stays covered.
- 4
Shingles on and a walk-through
Then come the shingles, flashing and vents. Most homes take one to two days, depending on size and weather. Before we pack up, we go over the roof and the yard with you.
What drives the cost of a new roof
Two homes with the same floor plan can end up with very different roof prices. These are the things that push the number up or down. We list every one of them separately on the written estimate, so the price doesn't grow once the crew is up on your roof.
- Size and pitch
- A bigger roof takes more squares of shingles and more hours. A steep roof slows the crew down and calls for more fall protection.
- Old layers coming off
- If there's a second layer of shingles under the first, the tear-off and the dump fees about double.
- Condition of the decking
- Some bad boards only show up once the old roof is off. We put a per-sheet price on the estimate from the start, so you know what a replaced sheet costs before we ever find one.
- Shingle type and venting
- Architectural, impact-rated and reflective shingles each carry a different price. Adding soffit intake or a ridge vent adds some cost now and can trim what you pay to cool your home later.
- Chimneys, skylights and valleys
- Every one of these gets its own flashing work. That's slower, careful handwork, and it adds to the labor.
Questions about replacing a roof
How many years will a new roof give me?
That comes down to the shingle you pick and how well your attic breathes. An attic that traps heat bakes shingles from underneath and wears them out early. We get the venting right so your shingles can reach the life they're built for.
Can a new roof cut my energy bills?
It can help, but we won't hand you a savings figure. Most of the gain comes from better attic venting and a lighter shingle that reflects more sun. Insulation plays a part as well, and if it looks thin while we're in the attic, we'll mention it.
Does homeowners insurance cover a new roof?
It might, if hail or wind caused the damage. We photograph what we find on the roof and explain the usual steps of a claim, from your first call to the insurer through the adjuster's visit. Whether it's covered is your insurance company's call, not ours.
Is there a warranty on the work?
Yes. Every roof we put on comes with a lifetime workmanship warranty on our labor. We'll explain what it covers before you sign.
Should I stay home while you work?
You don't have to be there all day. We'd like a few minutes with you before we start and a walk around at the finish. Keep pets indoors, because tear-off is noisy.
Do you work outside Stroud?
We do. We replace roofs in Chandler, Cushing, Bristow, Drumright, Perkins and the rural areas in between.
